    Default Schedule Loss Award

My comp. doctor told me that the schedule loss award will subtract what I was paid for the idle time. If it is true, I'm not going to get anything for losing my fingers on the job. Is it the way how it works? Does anyone know? I'm in New York state.

Sorry to hear for your loss.

As far as I know, schedule loss of use will unfortunately subtract from your earnings.

Seems to me what you should be doing is moving for a Permanent Partial Disability of a lesser degree. Dismemberment and maiming and the like are serious. I hope you have counsel. If not, get it immediately.

A lesser degree means lesser schedule loss award, right?

Yes, but they are not in the same vein.

What I mean is like a 'Permanent Partial/Moderate Disability'. Maiming, dismemberment, or amputation is serious and a big thing in Comp cases and is hard to be disputed by the IC.

Many people have Psychological Trauma related to the accident especially on cases of amputations and maiming. I suggest seeing a Psychiatrist. If you are depressed your P.P. can suggest a colleague.

Don't let them downplay because it was 'only fingers'. You had them before, and now you do not.

It's terrible. I really feel for you.
