    Question Settlements

can anyone tell me how long does it take normally to find out if workers comp has accepted your settlement offer I came up with an agreement on Sept. 17 recieved papers from the attorney on sept 20 got them notarized and had back to the attorney on Sept 23 they mailed me copies of everything got them on sept 27th so i assume that the commission got them on Sept 29th. Just curious to know how long it normally takes them to approve the settlement offer and get your money to them.

As a rule, you should receive your check within 30 days after approval by the judge/commissioner...

The length of time for the WC board/commission to review the settlement for adequacy would depend on the back log of settlements to review...

Check with your AA and/or the board/court ombudsman on the status of your claim...
