    Question Worker's Comp Benefits Taxable ?

    Hi. I'm new to this forum and getting ready to file my federal and VA income tax returns. I've been out of work since June and receiving worker's comp benefits. Just wondering if this is considered taxable income ?

    from the USA IRS tax code:

    gross income does not include—
    (1) amounts received under workmen’s compensation acts as compensation for personal injuries or sickness;
