I'm new to all of this here, and now understanding what hell people can go through. My question is this though, the insurance carrier is not disputing the validity of my claim, and are actually taking care of me. I went to the doctor the other day and he told me I have a permanent disability and that my foot will never be the same ( I shattered my heel in 4 places that they know of.) From what he said it is the worst foot injury you can get and basically my lateral movement will be gone for the most part. My operation is next week as he told me I will need screws and pins and whatever else. But what does permanent disability actually mean? The company I work for has yet to call and see how I am doing, Doctor wrote that I have anywhere form 4 to 6 months before any semblance of normality returns. Emotionally I am carrying on as best I can but I am still in the dark as far as the rest goes. Any advice or words of encouragement would ease my mind.
