If your employed there and have a work related injury, you should receive WC or they will be setting themselves up for a PI suit.Quoting SHOVELHEAD

They are blowing smoke. He needs to stop talking to HR dept and contact the state WC, get the papers and file them himself. Obviously the ER is jerking him around..
All he needs from his ER is the name of their insurance carrier. Make sure your keeping notes on all the BS they are trying to pull, just in case..
