    Smile Do You Think I Will Get Workers Comp Payments or a Settlement

    Here's the situation there was water and I slipped and fell pretty hard the employer immediately took photos sent me to there doctor, after then they sent me to another regular doctor and he put me on light duty, about a week later I started to have pain shooting down my leg and feeling numb, tingles.... They then sent me to get an MRI and here is what it said do you think I will be able to get workmans comp payments or a settlement right now there paying all my medical bills....



    -Disk Space narrowing and desiccation
    -posterior disk bulge
    -ligamentum flavum hypertrophy
    -facet hypertrophy
    -canal stenosis
    -bilateral neural foraminal narrowing
    -Facet Disease
    -degenerative disk disease

    Standing alone these findings are fairly consistent with age related changes which may or may not have been made worse by the fall. You will have to talk to your doctor to obtain clarification of that issue.

    My wife went through almost an identical situation. Her fall was about a year ago. The insurance company still pays for her medical but everything else is still in limbo. There are lawyers involved for both worker's comp and a liability issue, since it was an outside contractor that caused the problem.
