Default What Happens at Mediation and Settlement

My workers compensation claim was made in the State of: Florida
Hello,im a little lost in this issue.I was told by my lawyers secretary that i have a mediation in october.I really dont know what that means,i was never orientated about this. Also i dont have the slightest idea on what can be considered FAIR settlement.I was a technician that part of my duties were climbing ladders and stairways, standing long periods of time, but my WC doctor gave me permanent restrictions on these just mentioned.they took me out of a route and temporarily doing desk work until they decide what they can do with me.Also for the same accident i have 3 bulging disk and alho had a AC joint separation,i still get shots for the back and they only gave me 2% mmi whole.I had surgery on my ankle thats why i got the restrictions.I heard by a friend that a mediation most likely they will offer a lump sum.My question is what is considered a fair offer or lump sum,my attorney hasnt explain this to me yet.Thank you.

your atty knows what's "fair" if you trust them then leave it them to decide.
    if you don't then switch.
schedule an appt with your atty to discuss.
mediation is new for all first timers.

You will have a WC claim and a PI claim for the person that hit you. I f you don't file a PI claim WC will go after them.../.and they will be paid back..its called Subrogation.
