Disability Retirement.entitlements

I was retired on disability on September 01, 2010. I figured I would just receive a check every month and go on with my life. Low and behold I receive a copy of my doctors disability rating letter and I have no idea what it means or what I should do. The letter states, " I am giving him a 10% permanent partial impairment of his involved lower right extremity". This letter was dated a month after Prince Georges County retired me. I need to know what my entitlements are , if any, and if I need to act on the new information in any way.

you are entitled to some additional payments for permanent partial disability.
contact your work comp carrier for more information on when they intend to begin paying.
