Can Your Benefits Be Terminated if You Leave a Temporary Job

I am currently on Work Comp. I had to retire from the original job that I worked at so I receive work comp until I find a full time job. I was working for a temp agency. I left the assignment at the end of my contract although they wanted to extend it. They told me that they did not have money in the budget to hire me but would extend my contract. I decided that since it was 30 miles away, plus tolls, that I would rather look for a new assignment. The agency would not look for a new assignment untilI was done with that one. So my question is can my benefits be terminated since I left the job?

I think you are confused.
workers comp is for workers who've been injured on the job.
you do not get workers comp for retiring from a job.

there are a number of different benefits available when you are injured; each has different rules about when they end.

if you were injured on the job, what comp benefits were you getting?

Yes, I was injured...I went on light duty...I retired...but they still pay me work comp. I get income plus medical for my shoulder.

Yes, they can terminate your temporary disability payments when there is light work available but you choose not to participate.
your comp claim continues with the Temporary employment agency including availability of medical treatment for the injury.
