    Default MSA Guidelines

A few questions. Are Msa guidlines universal through out US? 2. Can you choose to self administer MSA? If no why? If yes what do I need to do on my part to self administer, as far as letting IC and medicare know my intentions to self administer msa?
    Thanks in advance.

IW can self administer a WCMSA.... generally, that's the way is it unless you are incompetant.
Yes...guidelines are nationwide, as SSA is federal vs WC state.
Your decision to self administer will be made and provided to CMS/Medicare when the claim settles, and MSA is funded.

No settlement is complete now until CMS/Medicare are provided the settlement documents.

CMS/Medicare "recommends" a formal setaside account... you must account annually for any money you spend from the MSA, Medicare won't begin to pay benefits until you prove you have exhausted all of the MSA money, and reasonable interest.
The MSA funds should be kept seperate from your own monies... basically because it's much easier to self attest each year.

There are 100's of threads on this issue...WCMSA's on this board...most under disability benefit issues...
