Default The Judge Approved My Settlement Offer Now What

Hello all I hope everyone had a good holiday,
Does anyone know after its approved how long before I will have a check in hand ?
I already got the letter saying my benefits are closed from the carrier, my stupid lawyer hasn't told me squat.
I called him 4, yes 4 times and no call back..

there is no way to tell when you will have the check or any piece of general mail in your hand.

Do you happen to know what the law says, for instance like is there a timeline involved ? I guess I could call the state today to get my answer, thanks for the reply though.

Don't recall there being a law governing how long the carrier has to issue a check.... but the WC court judge has to approve your settlement, there may be a 30 day waiting period for either party to appeal (yes, even though you both have agreed), once the carrier gets the documents back, could be another 30 days to issue the check.

yes there is a penalty date to pay court orders but the check could be in your hand earlier or later then any such date; there is no guarantee you'll have it in hand on any specific date or time.
there are too many variables in how mail is handled, delivered, in different parts of the state by different postal branches, different mailmen, sorting times, weather & travel conditions, etc. to give an "in-hand" time.

Well I called the state today and was told 60 days. That can't be right under Florida statue 440.20 says 14 days, so I'm still confused..
