Default Workplace Knee Injury Treatment

Fyrman,

I have been reading your post regarding your knee injury for some time now. You have a good communication style that I find easy to follow.

One reason I am follow your post is that my knee injury is very similar to yours except that my knee has a few more problems such as micro fracture surgery,

I too am expecting that a settlement is upcoming. My MMI rating is only 15% because my doctor is an Insurance company whore.

While I wait for the settlement process to start I watch my every move to make sure that I dot my i’s and cross my t’s.

One way that I do this is by being careful not to do any thing that can be misrepresented by a private investigator.

An example would be if I help my wife carry in the groceries I take the paper towels out of the bag before carrying them in the house so that if I’m being recorded it will be clear that the object is not beyond my weight restrictions,

I know that many think I’m being paranoid but I strongly disagree. We as injured workers are up against a powerful force that has the ability to destroy our future by using their unlimited resources to discredit honest injured workers.

In a resent post to wolfwatcher you revealed that in the past you worked as PI. Now you are an injured worker. http://www.workerscompensationinsura...906#post128906

This tells me that you have seen both sides of this ongoing debate. From reading your past post I see that you are well aware that getting justice in this system is next to impossible to those who are not diligent.

The question that I’m about to ask you is my effort to be diligent and not designed to reflect negatively on you being a former PI. I just need reliable information from someone who has been in a place such as you have.

If you were working on a case where you were watching an injured worker with a knee injury, what would you look for in that person?

Would you send a video to the IC of the person carrying in groceries?

If the person limps more in the morning than he does in the evening would you assume that maybe his pain meds have kicked in or would you send the video on to the IC to prove his limping is inconsistent?

Remember, I don’t know you so I’m not accusing you of being unscrupulous in any thing. I have every reason to believe that you are a very honest PI. You have probably noticed that PI’s are frowned upon by most injured workers on this site.

I’m asking all who read this post not to assume any thing about fyrman as it pertains to his former profession.

Thanks in advance for any information that you provide.

RDS
