Is Worker's Compensation Compulsory? Worker's compensation is compulsory for all employers engaged in extrahazardous occupations and elective for all other occupations.
Are Waivers Permitted? No
Numerical Exceptions: None.
Choice of Physician: Employee makes the initial choice of physician.
Waiting Period For Comp Benefits After Injury: 3 days (temporary total disability only.)
Compensation is retroactive if disability continues for what period of time from the date of injury? More than 8 days
Attorney Fees Permitted: Determined on an individual case basis.
