Default Can an Insurance Company Require Pictures of a Medical Procedure

Oh lord it's such a long story, but I'll just ask this. Can the insurance company demand that a surgeon take pictures throughout an entire diagnostic surgery in order for their doctor to evaluate them? Their attorney even went as far as to claim that the surgeon doing the surgery will lie and go out of his way to find an injury even if there isn't one. What bull! Also, will a torn labrum heal by itself over time?

I tor mine is 2003, did not know it was torn till almost 1 year later because they would'nt approve the MRI, I just had it fixed a few months ago, so with all that in mind I would think the answer is no, I waited 3 years and mine never healed.....
