    Default How Long Does It Take To Receive A Settlement

    how long does it actually take to recieve a settlement from w/c in florida ? mine was a forced settlement so i can get the medical care i need .

    Don't hold your breath on this one. They pay when they darn well please - unfortunately. Should have recieved mine in 30 days - took almost 4 1/2 months.

    Your medical doesn't mean a thing to them.

    First off there is no such thing as a "forced settlement" in Florida. No one party can force another to settle. The settlement would have to be approved by the JOCC. You will have to sign the settlement documents and then they are submitted to the JOCC for approval. This process can take from 30 to 120 days. If you are unrepresented then a final hearing will have to be scheduled and this could add on additional time.

    thank you you have to settle if you need medical care from a real dr ,not these wanna bee's dr . thanks again i won't hold my breath on this one lol

    how do you get a forced settlement? Does' the judge demand that the ins co settle with you?

    no anon u are force to settle so u can get the medical care u need for your injury that was caused by your employer neglect . glad its over
