wanted to run this past any medically inclined folks. POR? U reading this?
thoracic disc herniations(2) with three more bulging (basicly t-7 through 12).
is it normal/heard of/ or why would the spine be curved off to the left? was told by a phy therp. that it was possable a scapular nerve pinch but scapular nerve is in cervical spine not thoracic so this doesnt make sense(mri clear of cervical anomolies, lumbar also clear). lots of muscle spasms through mid back region. radicular pain through rib area(banding) with tingle/numb sensation to outside of left thigh. if any walking tingle turns to pain then pain increases through thigh area to hip and lower leg all the way to ankle. note: not back of leg(sciaitica) but side(outside). continued walking results in "favoring" of leg(limp). gets to point where pain is unbearable till rest aprrox 15-30 minutes.
have been told herniations not considered for surgical intervention(proximity to spinal cord but do not touch cord- so the mri reader says).
spine curved approx 3degrees to left from mid back for approx 6 inches then strightens out again to neck( basicly like a parenthesis on keyboard - imagine a striaght line coming from bottom of line to mid point on parenthisis..little less curve though).
getting no clues from spine specialist( actually says hmmmm, then doesnt respond)..nor pain docotor. any thoughts?
ps....back hurts constantly btw. like a railroad spike driven into it over and over and over......
