Default How to Complain About a Workers Comp Doctor

Does anyone know what action can be filed against a workers comp doctor. She literally became verbally abusive, bullying, and belittling when I asked about a symptom. She accused me, without cause, of making things up. WOW! She really took me off guard because up to that point she had been pretending to be a doc whose first concern was my well being.

You can file a complaint with the State Medical Board... http://www.dora.state.co.us/Medical/...nts.htm#action

Lisa I am curious if you filed a complaint, and if so did it help? I have a good friend who works for the CO. Division of Workers Comp and he has recommended the same for me, (similar situation with my former w/c MD, who also altered another medical Dr,'s report(the radiologist) that she forwarded to the DIME doc she blacked out my diagnosis)
however now the w/c insurance company is sending me to another one of their Dr.'s, after reading the reviews online on the new Dr. it makes my former one look like a saint, not one positive comment out of over 100 reported, how can Dr.'s get away with this, aren't they required to keep their oath of "Do No Harm"?
Why is it the w/c ins. company can send us to whatever hack doc they want, but we cannot see the Dr.'s we would like to so we can get better? A very corrupt system.
Shovelhead, Any advice on how to prepare for my upcoming apt. with this new w/c Dr. that appears to be corrupt?

File a complaint with your state's medical board. Maybe if everyone did that we would weed out these biased doctors from the comp system.
The North Carolina Court of Appeals has held that "In contested Workers' Compensation cases today, access to competent legal counsel is a virtual necessity." Church v. Baxter Travenol Labs, Inc., and American Motorists Insurance Company, 104 N.C. App. 411, 416 (1991).
