    Default Compromise and Release

My workers compensation claim was made in the State of: Pa. Hey. Just have a quick question. Is the approval by a judge for a c & r. Based on best interest or is the approval based on fully understanding the terms of the c & r?

    Default Re: Compromise and Release

Reveiw/approval by a judge is for adequacy, that the appropriate amount of indemnity is paid, based on the PD rating, future medical care is taken into consideration... all variables based on the facts surrounding your claim. "Best interests" really aren't a factor. WC benefits are pretty much spelled out in the law.
You should consult with a certified WC attorney before you make any decisions to cash out a comp claim, if you don't, you could leave valuable, on the table.
