Default Injured on the Job a Week Before the End of My Contract

Will I still be entitled to workers comp? Will they pay for my MRI, doctor visits and medications?

    You say "contract"...
Were/are you and actual "employee", or independant contractor ?
If employEE, you should file the claim with your employER.
If you are an indepandt contractor, you are not covered under the ER's WC policy. Only employees are eligible for WC benefits.

First thank you very much for your help. I filled out injury report a week ago and have not received any reply from my employers WC adjuster. I need a MRI done and have had to pay for two seperate doctor visits.

Call your ER, get the name of the carrier and call the CA/Claims Adj.
you should not be paying out of pocket for treatment... or MRI.
Your treating physician should be in contact with the CA, getting prior authorization for any treatment recommended.

If you have difficulty with a comp claim, it's best to consult with an atty... there shouldn't be any fee for this.

Thank you very much for your time answering my questions. I have reached out several times. I emailed the injury form they sent for me to complete. I also had a phone conversation with my employer giving them more details. I was told this past Wednesday the Claims Processor from their WC department would be contacting me yesterday.

I am concerned because my contract end date is today and they have no intent to follow up.

The BIG question: Will I be eligible for WC and medical care even though my contract agreement was to end today?

Thank you in advance for all of your help.

coverage does not depend on when your job ends but when you got hurt.
