Comp won't pay, but you could be eligible for UI/Unemployment Ins benefits until you find a new job, or exhaust those benefits.
Contact the UI dept, find out the process, and if you have qualifying base period. You may have to appeal a denial and show you have not worked due to work injury and comp benefits paid.
Don't wait on this as you could lose the UI benefits.

I only had 5 days of employment left when I fell and injuried by neck, shoulder and back. I have a similar question; due to employment ending in 5 days from day of injury, will I still be eligible for WC and medical treatment. I have received a WC number, but have not received approval for MRI.

I went to my family doctor the day of injury and was told they do not work with WC. I had been seeing a pain doctor for back pain, so I went to see them three days after the injury.

    HELP!

In maine you have to wait 10 days before you see your own doc, I wnet to my own doc after 10 days and WC (Ins company) were not to happy with me, so I stayed with there doc and the Doc's they perfer, so far they are on the same page. I found my doc didn't want the hassle of dealing with WC people....they drag there feet and push the meds...

you should start your own thread so as not to confuse other readers.

    comp is not health insurance.
it's the employers insurance. the employer remains protected from your claim whether you continue working or not. comp benefits are available to you as long as you have a claim.
