    Default What is Meant by Apportionment

    I've seen the word apportionment used often is some of the post what does it mean? Does it has something to do with pre-existing condition?

    yes.
    some state laws allow permanent impairment that per-existed the work injury to be subtracted or apportioned from the overall disability rating.

    So if I've already had a previous knee injury and receive an impairment rating of 22% it will effect this injury?
