Exclamation How to Get Necessary Medical Help for a Back Injury

My workers compensation claim was made in the State of: Az Hi im Bonnie, in sept i hurt myself at work trying to lift a 400lb person with another nurse . I was sent to work comp doc who gave me physical therapy for3 wks. The doctor never told me how serious my problem was . I thought that after working for a hospital for 6 yrs. and that i had an excellent record that they would take care of me. But as it turns out that wasn't the case.I went back to work and injured myself so much worse. So with new symptoms with nerve pain which is quite frightening, the doctor just ignored this symptom. so i seek immediate medical care because this could lead to permanent paralysis. Well the insurance adjuster was so upset after i went to my GP almost yelling at me. The work comp doctor wasn't even giving me enough pain medication. So i kind of lost my cool with the adjuster and shes avoiding my calls now, they wont even do any physical therapy for my lower back anymore, every xray and mri the picture gets progressively more bleak with the problems such as serious cervical problems. my only step now is to lawyer up. I was so sad crying in front of my doctor,i said all i want is medical help for these serious problems. He had a heart, taking pity on me when most doctors would not go near me with a 10 foot pole . He gave me some real pain meds and referred me to a neurologist . He was my Angel Thank you Doctor for not forgetting your hippocratic oath... Oh by the way we are privately insured to

Your insurance won't pay. Policy excludes coverage for work comp injuries. Your best option now is to "lawyer up." Research the lawyers on these sites before you hire one: Martindale.com (look for the AV rating) and Superlawyers.com and also AVVO.com which has client reviews.
The North Carolina Court of Appeals has held that "In contested Workers' Compensation cases today, access to competent legal counsel is a virtual necessity." Church v. Baxter Travenol Labs, Inc., and American Motorists Insurance Company, 104 N.C. App. 411, 416 (1991).

Update: my problems have gone from bad to worse. I have to retain a lawyer ASAP because now my work is denying part of the claim. My symptoms are getting progressively more painful.,and I may need surgery.
They are not paying me anything. I'm taking one day at a time and trying to stay positive, some days are better than others. I also have been paying for a disability insurance for 6 yrs. and i asked my human resource department about this. I immediately got a intimidating phone call from the director of employee health for just asking about it. This is how they wear you down so you will just quit.
And i'm most worried about my hands having permanent nerve damage, which is so scarey.
