Is Your Back Considered a Whole Body Part

Sorry I don't know if I'm asking the wrong questions but it seems like I never get an answer. My question is the back consider a whole body part? I guess what I'm asking is can you injured your back in two different accident and suffer two different injuries one to the lower an then two the upper will it be considered as a different injury and can you be compensated as a second injury.please can someone help me understand thanks.

They will add the two injuries to come up with a whole person impairment rating.
You are entitled to a percentage of 500 weeks of PPD benefits.
