How Does Tribal Workman's Compensation Work

I have had a lawyer for 1-1/2 yrs now. I make him copies of every single paper I have ever had or get. He said he would take care of everything. Now I have medical and therapy bill collectors calling me. He also had nerve enough to say I never game him the paper that states we have 20 days to protest my claim being closed, which on the bottom is says: cc to my attorney. I have my copy and dated drop off day. I rarely heard from him, I would leave many voicemails after a month of no contact, then around 10-12 weeks I would here some excuse. Last time I talked to him, he said he had to look into something and he would call me right back, 3 weeks ago. I adore his assistant but she just says, "leave him another voicemail."

He tells me that the reason that this is so complicated is because of tribal law. Any thoughts or know an attorney who does?

He does not sound particularly competent to handle your case. Tribal law is something that most lawyers don't ever deal with. You need a lawyer who had handled a tribal case before you showed up. You never want to be a lawyer's guinea pig.
