Default Can Your Body Take This Much Stress

I've been keeping a brave face for family and friends who have been worried that I'm going to have a breakdown any minute, due to W/C. So I apparently have so much going on with tendinitis, carpal tunnel, cyst in my hand, and other craziness that my ptp says that if I was in more pain he would do the surgery however he doesn't see the point as it won't fix everything. .. ummm ok. This all started with pain in 2 fingers and as I did occupational therapy and it all got worse and all my previous doctor could say is... " It's supposed to hurt!" Now I am noticing as I'm working my middle finger on my left hand is experiencing the same pain as my right did in the beginning. .. I'm too afraid to tell my employer and I don't want 2 bad hands. How can the body take this much stress?

On top of it all my AME appointment was rescheduled at the last minute...

It's the stress on the mind that will get you. I know what you mean about the physical stress. Unfortunately, they don't have a pill to help any of this. I don't have much to offer, othere than when you're hurt, this is pretty much it. Hope you can get better, though.

I started to go to church to try to deal with my hate and anger of WC, it helped with alot of stress, the stress was always there but it was like a load was lifted, it is hard to explain, but I started to focus on other things other than my anger. It did not help my physical pain but did wonders for the mind. I did settle my case last month, still waiting on the check, but I have noticed my body feels a little better actually, I think it is because I do not have the stress anymore, I am finally free of this hell, and I do know that when the check is cashed I will voice my opinion to the adjuster which will help me as well.

Tell your attorney you think you may have a compensable consequence injury. Its not uncommon due to over compensating with the other extremity. Its a basic medical opinion that says yes you do or no you don't .

If you are going to an AME .. make sure your lawyer request you are evaluated for this.

Thank you all for your advice. Interceptor I will email my attorney now. I also advised my ptp. Yesterday I was told that I reached maximum medical improvement so now I am going to see the AME and see what he says.

So I had my AME appointment today and I think everything went okay there were a few things that I forgot to mention when he was doing the exam it wasn't as painful but that's because I haven't been to work in 5 days. However he agrees with my primary treating physician that I shouldn't have surgery because they can't guarantee that it will make anything better. Basically the jest i got from him is to just wait it out and hopefully it'll get better because I'm not having as much swelling as I did before and because I seemed pretty decent today I'm assuming that they're going to just say that I need to just continue treatment however my primary treating physician is stating that there's nothing else he can do ... I'm getting nowhere.

If it's to much stress the body will let you know it will start breaking down. When my employer was finish with me I had an ulcer and I slept for 3 months straight got up to go to the bathroom and ate a little here and there but I was sleeping all day. Just keep telling yourself I'm not gonna let them bully me into just walking away, yes a lot of ppl have done that just walk away not me it took 4 1/2 years then it was over.

Hello I forgot what they call it but if they have done everything humanly possible then that's it they can't treat u no more just give you pain meds if you need it. That's what happen to me I did everything possible twice then they was like you can't ever work again.

Omg that sounds horrible. I just started a w/c case because of carpal tunnel and tendinitis. I havenít been this stressed since my father died. I feel like I need medication which is crazy because Iíve never needed it. I feel like these people donít really care about my pain at all. Itís like they think I should be able to just get over it. How long have you been on w/c? I donít even know if Iím approved yet because I went to a specialist 1st who saw me for 3 mins and said I need tests. Thatís it. I canít sleep. I canít eat. I donít know what to do.
