    Lightbulb Failed Drug Screen While Receiving Workers Comp

    I was injured on the job I was test positive for marijuana a year after I was hurt my attorney advised me to take what I could and run because if I go any futher I wont receive anything for injury what should I do before its too late remind you I wasn't drug tested when I was first injured a year later.

    I am about to go to first orthopedic dr appt for an injury I got almoat two months ago...my question is will they drug test me?? Ty for yiur time

    Pain management doctors typically drug test because they are prescribing narcotics. Orthopedic docs don't like to give anyone narcotics for longer than a few days. I have not known of an orthopedist initiating a drug test of a patient.
    The North Carolina Court of Appeals has held that "In contested Workers' Compensation cases today, access to competent legal counsel is a virtual necessity." Church v. Baxter Travenol Labs, Inc., and American Motorists Insurance Company, 104 N.C. App. 411, 416 (1991).
