Default Released Back to Work Without Notice From My Doctor

I was receiving my disability payments from my work while on WC, and then my check didn't come in the mail. I called the company that was sending my checks, and they told me that the doctor had given them a verbal release over the phone. I was never told at the doctor's office that I was released, nor did I sign anything. And I'm definitely not healed. Does this sound right to anyone else?

This is why you never leave the doctor's office without an updated disability/no work slip.
What did your last doctor write up say?

If you don't have an attorney, now's the time to retain one.

I have hired a lawyer. I just wondered if this was unusual.

I doubt it's a usual practice, it sure isn't proper protocol.
As long as you have a no work write up, you should be fine.
