I begin this thread by saying, in the last thread I stated that I was not being paid by workers comp for being off work for more than a month. So, I requested a hearing. Since the request, I have not received any more payment of wages. I contacted a lawyer, and was told that the sum of wages for the period of time requested is not enough for them to get involved. I was advised to have the employer calculate the amount of money for the time off and I would settle for 80% of that amount. How would I know if the amount is correctly calculated? What formula is used?
This is a separate issue. I asked how the AWW was calculated, the answer I received was; The AMW for 2017 is 4521.92, $4521.92 x .021918 = (Daily rate) x 14 days. is this correct?
