My friend lives in Alaska, he's a truck driver. His employer is in Montana, he drives between Mt and AK on a regular schedule. He was hurt in Fairbanks, rotator cuff tear. His employer insisted he use the wc for Montana, but the max weekly ttd rate is only $768. Should he have claimed in AK? Also employer had him send in pay stubs for the 2 months prior to his starting a claim instead of the 2 months prior to the date of injury. Seems to me like he is being treated unfairly, also was told that if there is permanent disability, there will be no settlement, only an offer to retrain for a different job. What say all of you?
