Default Trigeminal Neuralgia Can My MMI Rating Change

My workers compensation claim was made in the State of: florida
I was in a power equipment accident little over 2 yrs ago and been seen by all kinds off doctors from ENT doctors for surgery to my face to dental surgeons etc.. but I was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia do to the impact to my face that damaged a nerve. My MMI rating is 20% even though in the book its 50%. But my condition will never get better only worse with time. But anyways my WC lawyer told me that my MMI can change though out the time of my claim does this sound right?
