    Default Impairment Rating

    My workers compensation claim was made in the State of: Va

    Hello I have a question to anyone.My last doctor visit with my doctor.He told me I was getting paid for in injury,but when I ask Work Comp are they paying for my injury.I was told I only had medical benefit.My doctor did a Impairment rating.So what I need to do now.

    That doc has no idea if you get paid or not - that's completely out of his expertise.
    Unless this is a scheduled loss, you don't get paid for an injury, you get paid for wage loss.
    No wage loss, no moola.

    Don't rely on legal advice from a doctor. The only legal advice worth relying on from a doctor is simple: "You need to get a lawyer."
    The North Carolina Court of Appeals has held that "In contested Workers' Compensation cases today, access to competent legal counsel is a virtual necessity." Church v. Baxter Travenol Labs, Inc., and American Motorists Insurance Company, 104 N.C. App. 411, 416 (1991).
