Default Does W/C Approve Medical Marijuana

In Louisiana there's 14 qualifiers for enrollment for medicinal marijuana, I have at least 4. I'm hoping someone on this site may Know if workers comp approves this
Type of medicine and clinic. I have to take so many meds and with one part of my
Injury I forget to take them or I forget I take it and take another. I can't talk to my adjuster because I lawyered up. Any insight would be beneficial. Just want to eliminate some Of this medicine.

The carrier will not cover it, it's still illegal under federal law and it's not approved by the FDA.
If they find that stuff in a blood test, they will cut your wage loss benefits and your doctor may dismiss you from his care.
Because there are no job protections for Medical Marijuana, you could also lose your job.

There is no objective evidence to support the claim Medical Marijuana relieves pain - it's a con job sold by pot heads to get their dope legally.
The side affects and other risks aren't worth it in my book - People using pot eventually become zombies, they think about doing everything but never do nothing.
That's on top of the personality changes that cause loss of relationships, delusional thinking, memory loss and damage to their lungs.

It's a dangerous drug, don't let anyone tell you different - I've personally seen too many people destroy their lives using it because they bought the notion it was "safe"
There is evidence that cannabis-based medications can treat two types of epileptic syndromes, there is yet to be any objective evidence to support the notion it relieves pain.
"Marijuana is a Schedule I drug, meaning that it is considered to have no medicinal purpose."

What is the FDA Doing About Medical Marijuana?
the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved for the first time a drug called Epidiolex which contains a purified drug substance cannabidiol. It was approved for the treatment of seizures associated with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome or Dravet syndrome in patients 2 years of age and older. That means the FDA has concluded that this particular drug product is safe and effective for its intended indication.
Marijuana is a Schedule I drug, meaning that it is considered to have no medicinal purpose. Heroin and LSD are also Schedule I (interesting tidbit, cocaine is Schedule II drug because it has numbing properties and
can be used as a local anesthetic).

FDA’s Role in the Drug Approval Process
The FDA has not approved marijuana as a safe and effective drug for any indication. The agency has, however, approved one specific drug product that contains the purified substance cannabidiol, one of more than 80 active chemicals in marijuana, for the treatment of seizures associated with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome or Dravet syndrome in patients 2 years of age and older. The FDA has also approved two drugs containing a synthetic version of a substance that is present in the marijuana plant and one other drug containing a synthetic substance that acts similarly to compounds from marijuana but is not present in marijuana.

Warning Letters and Test Results for Cannabidiol-Related Products
Over the past several years, FDA has issued several warning letters to firms that market unapproved new drugs that allegedly contain cannabidiol (CBD). As part of these actions, FDA has tested the chemical content of cannabinoid compounds in some of the products, and many were found to not contain the levels of CBD they claimed to contain. It is important to note that these products are not approved by FDA for the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of any disease.Consumers should beware purchasing and using any such products.

Pain is a fact of life, there is no quick fix.
We have to learn to live with it and focus on what we can control.
Simple things like a hot bath or a long walk can do more than any medicine - it comes down to mind over matter.

Pain won't kill ya, some of these so called fixes will.

I'll say this - If someone wants to get stoned to avoid reality and distract from pain, that's their business and they certainly have the right to do so.
I have a problem when they sell this behavior as "treating pain" or calling their dope "medicine"
Don't sell the idea that drug abuse is legitimate or your dope is medicine - It's the same as alcoholics using the term "self medicating" to minimize the fact they're getting drunk to avoid life.

There's no such a thing as "Medical Marijuana" no more than there's such a thing as "Medical Whiskey" - As the above state ""Marijuana is a Schedule I drug, meaning that it is considered to have no medicinal purpose."
Be honest and call it what is, getting stoned on pot and getting drunk on booze - Neither have anything to do with "medicine" or the medical field.
I resent people sugar coating drug and alcohol addiction, too many people have lost their lives to make light of these behaviors.

    Risky Business: Marijuana Use
With laws in many states allowing the use of marijuana under a variety of circumstances, it is important to understand how it can affect mental health and when its use becomes a serious problem.
    Can marijuana cause mental illnesses?
More research is needed for a clear answer to this question. Here's what we do know:
1- Marijuana may increase the risk of developing psychotic disorders like schizophrenia. It can also worsen symptoms in people who already have psychosis.[9]
2- Marijuana use can cause symptoms of mental health problems like psychosis (hallucinations), anxiety (panic attacks), depression, and sleep disorders, but these symptoms generally fade after the effect of the drug has worn off. [11]
3-People may get “too high” by using a strain of marijuana that is stronger than they thought it would be, by using too much, or by consuming it in di˙erent ways. Smoking marijuana usually takes effect quickly (a matter of minutes), while consuming edibles usually takes longer (a matter of hours) for an individual to feel the effects, and they may end up consuming too much because they “don’t feel it” at first. [12]
4- Adults who have been diagnosed with marijuana (cannabis) use disorder have high rates of mental health disorders including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and ADHD [13]. It is hard to know whether the marijuana use disorder or the mental health disorder appeared first, since many people use drugs to self-medicate.

Oh you already had me sold I just didn't do enough research. I a member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints and I had to get approved by the general authority Before I took another step to talk to my lawyer even my devout wife had concerns but, was willing to let me try anything. The pain of my limb amputation is just so sever I don't know where to turn. But after hearing your point I decided against the marijuana. I can't, because not only it would work against my w/c but, also would have some effect on my brain injury. Thanks for being there before I made a bad decision I'm grateful!
