The NC Industrial Commission has announced that all Deputy Commissioner level hearings scheduled from March 16 through April 30 will be continued until a later date. In addition, any mediated settlement conferences scheduled between March 16 and April 12 are subject to being handled by telephone or videoconferencing, without the parties getting together for a face to face meeting.

The NC court system is also more or less closed until at least April 12, and all hearings and trials set until then are automatically continued, except for Constitutionally mandated things such as criminal court first appearances.

NC, under the leadership of Governor Roy Cooper (D), is taking strong measures to enhance "social distancing" in our communities, in an effort to minimize the spread of the illness.
