Do I Need to Get an Attorney and What Should I Be Looking for Workers Comp

Reported work exposure 3/19
On two calls to occupational med they try pushing it as community exposure i redirected them it was work exposure.
On calls by occupational med various times my work comp number was not
provided to me even when i tried inquiring for it
Was told to follow up with my primary MD
I had given up on this and was going to talk to attorney about it ( stat of limit is 2 yrs).

Received call last with from company workers comp third party agent with my workers
comp case number
Received letter from claims agent to call if I need any medical care or with any questions
regard
report of injury was backdated to last day I worked as the day i reported exposure

This letter is 8 weeks out from that day they claim I reported exposure

My questions

1 Did my employer- occ med dept delay report this to their workers compensation third party agent

2 Although l feel better, I still may need to see specialist because the nature of illness may be a cause
chronic issues which need to be nipped in the bud or managed.

3 Workers comp is supposed to pay 70% during my recovery time i had to use my sick time.

I will reach back to her but i just need to be prepared

Good grief. The question that matters is this: Is your claim accepted or denied? Sounds like it is denied.

Talk to a workers' comp lawyer there in your community. You will get nowhere with it on your own. You don't even know where to start.

You need a layer with an excellent rep, and much experience in Work INJURIES!! A good starting place is with your own family lawyer as they all know each other or at least their specialty law practice. I call this process "Doing your Homework" I beleive you can find this info by searching my post that KI began and many others whom I spoke to on this subject. Let me know if you have any road block. A Moron for a lawyer will ruin your case b4 it begins!!!
